🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Registration Deadline: Registration closes Thursday April 3rd, 2025 or when sold out. There is no registration after this time, and no registration on race day.
• Shirt Guarantee: The deadline to be guaranteed a shirt w/ your registration is February 10th, so be sure to register before then!
• Race Day: Join us on the first Saturday of April as runners from many states and countries take in Abraham Lincoln sites during this scenic half marathon.
• Course Certification: This USATF certified course will immerse you in Lincoln history unlike any other race!

📍 Race Route Highlights

• Historic Start: The race starts at the Old State Capitol where Lincoln gave his famous House Divided speech.
• Landmark Visits: Just across the plaza from the Capitol, within the first quarter mile of the race, is the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices.
• Home of Lincoln: Not even a mile into the race, runners go back in time for two blocks, passing by the only home Abraham Lincoln ever owned.
• Cemetery Access: During mile nine, runners enter Oak Ridge cemetery and are able to view Lincoln's final resting place.

🌳 Fun and History

• City Park: Mile 10 takes runners through the local city park named after the 16th president.
• Historic Landmarks: During the final mile of the race, runners will pass by historic Union Train station directly adjacent to the Abraham Lincoln Museum and Library, which is just one block from the finish line.
• Distance: So much history in just 13.1 miles!
• Everyone Welcome: Whether you are interested in Lincoln history or not, we promise this race is well worth it!

🎟️ Expo and Packet Pickup

• Expo Timing: Expo is from 4pm – 8pm on Friday at the President Abraham Lincoln Springfield - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, located at 701 E Adams St, Springfield, IL 62701.
• Vendors: We will have some awesome vendors and sponsors this year that will be on hand with giveaways & information.
• Pickup Location: Packet pickup will be held at the Expo at the President Abraham Lincoln Springfield - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
• Recommended Pickup: Packet pickup takes place from 4-8pm on Friday AND from 6:30am-7:15am on race morning. We strongly recommend getting packets the night before the race.
