Lincoln Memorial Garden Trail Race 8K

🏃‍♂️Race Overview

• Date: Saturday June 7, 2025
• Location: 2301 East Lake Shore Drive, Springfield, IL
• Distance: 8 kilometers (4.97 miles) of scenic trails
• Course: Entirely within the Garden, trails next to Lake Springfield, and Ostermeier Prairie Center grounds

👶Kids Fun Run

• Fun Run Location: Around the pond at the Cawley Meadow
• Registration Opens: February 1, 2025
• Registration Fee: $7.50 plus a variable signup fee
• Ages: Categories for 4 and under, 5-7, and 8 and over

• 8K Start Time: 7:30 a.m.
• Kids Fun Run Start Time: 9:00 a.m.

🎽8K Trail Race Information

• Early Registration: $32: $37 after April 15, 2025 plus a variable signup fee
• Shirt Guarantee: Guaranteed if registered by May 18
• Packet Pickup: Friday from 4-6 p.m. at Springfield Running Center and Race-day pickup at LMG starts at 6:30 a.m.
• No-Spike Race: Course includes sidewalks, wood-plank bridges, and various trail types

🏆Awards

• Winners Recognition: Awards for top men, women, non-binary finishers, and Masters runners
• Gift Card: $50 gift card to Springfield Running Center for race winners
• Age Group Awards: For top finishers in several age categories
• Eligibility: Registrants selecting "Prefer not to say" under gender are not eligible for awards

• Donation Purpose: To enhance visitor and educational experiences at LMG
• Items Funded: Spotting scope, audio system, and shade materials
