Crisis Support Services of Alameda County’s Healing Hearts Walk/Run/MOVE! for Suicide Prevention is back at Lake Merritt in Oakland.
- Purpose: This family-friendly event raises awareness for suicide prevention, reduces the stigma associated with depression and living mental health challenges.
- Education: Educates the community about community resources and services.
- Support: Supports local suicide prevention programs and provides a healing space for those affected by suicide.
- Inclusivity: Welcomes people who are living with suicidal experiences and those who've lost loved ones to suicide.
🏃♂️ Event Details
We are excited to return to the Edoff Bandstand at Lake Merritt in Oakland, CA, where we held the event every year prior to 2020. While there will still be the 5K walk/run around the lake, the event is so much more than that.
- Diversity of Movement: Our vision is to bring the community together and celebrate healing through a variety of movement activities.
- Activities: Members of our community will lead movement including Tai Chi, dance, and other exciting activities.
- All Abilities: All physical abilities are welcome to participate.
📅 Schedule
Arrive at 9am for the Health and Wellness Fair. Hear our emcee make announcements and many surprises! The 5K fun run starts at 9:30 am.
💰 Registration Info
Building community is most important to us. That is why sign up is free with a suggested donation of $35.
- T-Shirt Info: Registration does not include a t-shirt. A limited number of t-shirts are available for $35.
