Hagley 5K/1K Along the Brandywine

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Date: April 26, 2025
• Location: Hagley Museum (Library and Soda House Entrance), Wilmington, DE
• Event: 5K/1K run/walk along the beautiful Brandywine River through Hagley Museum's 235 acres.
• Proceeds: Support Hagley’s field trip fund for area schools.

🌅 Theme for 2025

• Theme: "Chasing the Sun," inspiring the young and young-at-heart to chase their goals.
• Attire: Dress in shades of red, yellow, and orange: or your favorite sun costume.
• Impact: Previous events collectively raised enough money for over 2100 students to visit Hagley.

🕰️ Schedule

• 5K: Starts at 8:30 AM
• 1K Fun Run: Starts at 9:00 AM
• Age Requirement: There is not an age requirement for either event.
• Teams: Corporate and community teams are encouraged. Click on the tabs above to either create or join a team!

🎟️ Bib Pick-Up and Check-In

• Time: Day of event starting at 7:30 AM
• Location: In front of the Hagley Library
• Access: Easy access for participants on the day of the event.
• Preparation: Arrive early to ensure time for check-in.

👫 Refer a Friend

• Post Registration: After registering, receive a unique URL to share with family and friends.
• Social Sharing: Encourage friends to register by posting on social media.
• Discounts: After five friends register using your unique URL, receive a $10 discount off your 5K fee or a $5 discount off your 1K fee.
• Incentive: A great way to engage more participants!

🏆 Age Groups and Awards

• Overall: Awards for Overall Male/Female.
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 Male/Female in each age group:
• Age Ranges: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
• Awards Ceremony: An awards ceremony will take place around 9:30 near the finish line.

🌳 Explore After the Race

• Hagley Museum: Opens at 10 AM after the race.
• Attractions: Explore the historic powder yards, first du Pont family home, and gardens.
• Free Admission: Registration fee gives you free admission to Hagley for the week following the 5K/1K (through May 3, 2025).
• Enjoyment: Make a day of it and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
