• Event Name: 3rd Annual "Feed A Veteran 5K"

🥵 Purpose of the Race

• Community Need: D.C. has over 500 homeless veterans living on the streets or temporary housing facilities.
• Winter Support: Veterans face extreme cold during winter and need support and hot meals.
• Event Goal: To raise money for hot food, winter survival kits, and suicide prevention programs.
• Unique Experience: Assemble sandwiches and soup for homeless veterans after the race.

🏁 Race Details

• Distance: Fun 3.1 mile road race.
• Timing: Professionally timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC.
• Start Time: 8:00 am.
• Online Registration: Closes at 7:45 am on November 9th.

💰 Registration Fees

• 5K: $35 through October 25, $40 from October 26 to November 8, $45 on November 9.
• 5K (18 & Under): $15.
• 1 Mile Fun Run: $25 through October 25, $30 from October 26 to November 8, $35 on November 9.
• 1 Mile (18 & Under) Fun Run: $15. Fun Run is untimed.

📦 Packet Pickup and Swag

• What You'll Receive: Commemorative bib, custom poly cotton race shirt, and custom finisher medal with flashing lights.
• Pickup Times: Friday, November 8, from 3-6 pm at Road Runner Sports and race day from 7-7:45 am.
• Registration on 11/8: Plan to pick up your packet on race morning.
• Shirt Guarantee: Register before October 25 to guarantee a shirt.

🏆 Awards

• Winners: Top 3 Men and Women Overall.
• Age Categories: Awards for various age groups including under 10, 11-14, 15-18, and 20-60+.
• Special Medals: Age group winners receive medals with their age group finishing place.
• Recognition: Celebrate the achievements of all participants.

📸 Free Finish Line Photos

• Photo Availability: Posted on our Run Sign-up site within 6 hours after the race.
• Visibility: Ensure your number is facing front and visible as you finish!
