Boston Trail 1/2 Marathon and 5K Run/Walk

Event Overview

• Event Types: The event includes a 1/2 Marathon run and a 5K run/walk.
• Family Friendly: The 5K also provides an opportunity for families and people with pets to participate.
• Trail Surface: Both races are held on the Yough River Trail of the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) which provides a flat, fast, crushed limestone surface.
• Medals: Medals are given in both races. Please note that medals not claimed on race day will be discarded.

Pacers

• Pacing Support: Pacers from Marathon Pacing will participate in the 1/2 Marathon.

Host Organization

• Organizer: The Mon Yough Trail Council (MYTC) hosts this race.
• Purpose: It raises necessary funds for trail maintenance and upkeep throughout the year.
• Volunteer Network: The MYTC is one of a network of all-volunteer trail councils that exist along the GAP.
• Community Commitment: The councils work specifically to keep the trail open and accessible for all.
