🏃♂️ Race Description
We are excited to host our 4th Annual Miles for Mentorship event to support Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region’s mission to ignite the promise and power of youth! Miles for Mentorship is an outdoor, walk or run 5K at Hawk Island starting and ending at the Red Tail Shelter to create 1-to-1 mentoring relationships for youth to achieve their full potential.
🎃 Spooky Sprint Kids Run
Children 12 years and under can join the Spooky Sprint Kids Run with Halloween costumes encouraged. Each participant receives a treat bag at the finish line. The Spooky Sprint is free of charge!
💵 Pricing
- $25 until 9/22
- $30 from 9/23 to 10/08
- $35 from 10/09 to 10/14
- Shirts guaranteed with registrations thru 9/22, no race day registration available.
👨👩👧👦 Family Pricing
- $5 discount per participant for 3 or more registrations together.
- Discount automatically applies during checkout for multi-person pricing.
📅 Race Day Details
- Packet Pickup: Starts at 8:30 am at the race start area.
- T-shirt Guarantee: Registrations before 9/22 ensure t-shirt availability in various sizes.
- Medals: Given to participants completing the 5k.
- Team Awards: Largest Team, Most Spirited Team, Largest Fundraising Team.
🏅 Awards
Overall Awards: Male Overall, Top Female Overall, Top Nonbinary Overall. Age group awards from 1-9 to 80-99.

Spooky Sprint Kids Run at 9:30 am, 5k at 10:00 am.
