🎯 Race Mission

• Objective: The Always Wear Your Seatbelt Foundation invites you to join us in raising seatbelt safety awareness at our upcoming 2025 “Lace-Up to Buckle-Up” 5K Walk/Run.
• Fundraiser: This is our annual fundraiser, and 100% of the net proceeds go towards furthering our mission.
• Awareness: The AWYS mission is to save lives through raising awareness and educating teens to Always Wear Your Seatbelt.
• Founder's Memory: Our foundation was founded in memory of Laura Grant and Eddie Culberhouse, who lost their lives in a tragic car accident on February 6, 2011. For more information about our story, please visit our website at www.alwayswearyourseatbelt.org.

💰 Entry Fees

• Adult Entry Fee: In-person or Virtual - Thru September 25th - $35.00: September 26th - October 18th - $40.00: October 19th - $45.00.
• Youth Entry Fee (Ages 13 - 19): In-person or Virtual - Thru September 30th - $20.00: October 1st - October 17th - $30.00: Race Day $35.00.
• Youth Entry Fee (Ages 7-10): In-person, Virtual, or Scooters - Thru September 30th - $10.00.
• Free Youth Entry Fee (0 - 6): In-person (does not include shirt).

📦 Race Packet Pickup

• Date & Time: October 16, 2025, from 4 - 7 pm.
• Location: Vanbarry's Public House: 4120 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32806.
• Virtual Registrants: To guarantee that you receive all your race items by race day (t-shirt, bib), you must register by October 1, 2025.
• T-shirts: Race t-shirts are guaranteed for registered participants until the online system indicates sold out.

🏆 Race Day Awards

• Top Award: The top Overall male and female finisher will be awarded.
• Age Groups: Top 3 in each group will be recognized based on gender.
• Categories: 13 & UNDER, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & OLDER.

❓ FAQs

• In-person Event: Yes! We will be live and in-person, with a virtual option for those who want to participate but can't be with us in Orlando.
• Parking: Parking is free and available at Cornerstone Charter Academy and surrounding businesses. There is also street parking available.
• Virtual Participation: If you can’t be in Orlando for the event, choose your own starting line, whether it’s your neighborhood street, school track, treadmill, or another route that suits you.

📏 Course Information

• Course Length: The 5K is 3.1 miles.
• Timing: Yes! All registered in-person runners will be timed electronically.
• Results: The results for in-person will be scored and uploaded to the race website within minutes.
• T-shirt Guarantee: Only pre-registered runners who successfully complete their registration and payment processes seven weekdays before the race are guaranteed a free race t-shirt.
