🏃♀️ 5K For Life Overview
- Event Name: Third Annual 5K For Life at Mike Lewis Park, Grand Prairie!
- Purpose: Come & make a difference in the community. New runners and families are welcome to join the 5K.
- Vision: Inspire our community to lock arms with the Grand Prairie Pregnancy Resource Center and promote awareness and support.
- Vendors: We will have local vendors from our region with us to celebrate!

- Annual Event: This event is a yearly fundraising resource providing essential funds for ongoing projects and campaigns.
👥 Who We Are
- Organization: The Pregnancy Resource Center of Grand Prairie is a non-profit organization.
- Impact: We have been a pillar within our community for over 30 years—impacting over 43,500+ families!
🛠️ What We Do
- Assistance: We offer FREE practical assistance, resources, education, and care for moms, dads, and families facing unexpected pregnancies.
📅 Event Details
- Location: Mike Lewis Park, 2410 N Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75050.
- Date: April 26, 2025.
- Pre-Packet Pickup: Grand Prairie Chamber Of Commerce, 900 Conover Dr, Grand Prairie, TX 75051 on April 24th from 2pm-6pm.
- Race Day Pickup: From 6:30am - 7:30am at the race site.
🤝 Volunteer Opportunities
- Aid Station: Provide water to participants as they pass by. Keep the course clean for runners by picking up discarded cups, bottles, and trash.
- Course Monitor: Help maintain a safe course by redirecting traffic away from participants and guiding participants.
- Contact: Email cpcgplife@sbcglobal.net if you or anyone you know wishes to volunteer.
- Encouragement: Feel free to bring pom poms, horns, music, instruments, signs etc. to encourage and cheer on runners. Bonus for creative costumes!
🏅 Awards
- Categories: Male and Female Overall winners.
- Top 3: Awards for the top 3 Male and Female in several age groups.
- Age Groups: 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75-84.
📜 Refund/Cancellation Policy
- Policy: All Lace Up Running events proceed rain or shine or snow or cold. We have a strict no refund policy.
- Weather: In the event of extreme weather, the start time may be delayed by up to half an hour.
- Safety: If conditions turn into lightning or become unsafe, the event may be cancelled. This is at the discretion of the Race Director.
- Alternative: If you cannot participate, you can still receive your packet, shirt, and medal and run the race on your own time.

- Details: Our goal is to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes weather conditions may affect those plans.
