MAD 5K

🏃‍♂️ Register Now for the Military Appreciation Day 5K!

• Event: Register for the 4th Annual MAD 5K. (Veteran and Active-duty discounts available prior to payment)
• Medals: The first 100 registered participants will receive a participation medal as you cross the finish line. There will be first place medals awarded to male and female in each age group.
• Course: This is a relatively flat course with beautiful water views along much of the run.
• Arrival: Plan on arriving 30-60 minutes before the race start time to ensure you have time to park and check in prior to start time of 9:00 am.

🚗 Parking Information

• Access: With participant purchase, each racer will obtain free access to parking at Ocean Beach Park for the race.

💵 Charity Contribution

• Proceeds: 100% Net proceeds are donated to Navy Marine Corp Relief Society (NMCRS).

🌊 Military Appreciation Day Festivities

• Admission: Active-duty military, Veterans, and their family members are welcome into Ocean Beach Park for this one-day event for free. (Military ID or DD214 to be presented for free admission at the gate.)
• Activities: After the 5K, enjoy a day on the beach and what Ocean Beach Park has to offer, from waterslide, rides, pool, miniature golf, and great concessions.
• Vendors: Enjoy a boardwalk full of Vendors supporting the local military in our community.
• Ceremony: At 3:00 pm on the stage of the boardwalk there will be a military ceremony awarding active-duty service members a special action award and Veteran recipients of the CT War-Time Medal recipients.
