✨ Event Overview

• Inner Superhero: Get ready to unleash your inner superhero at the Southpaw Strong first annual Superhero 5k!
• Purpose: Join us for a fun-filled event to raise money for our non-profit organization.
• Supporting Kids: Thank you for supporting our non-profit and helping the kids in our community.
• Proceeds: All proceeds from the race will go towards our nonprofit to assist with training, registration, travel, equipment, protective gear, and boxing fees.

🤝 Community Initiative

• Partnership: We have partnered with the Young Men’s Service League to offer an after-school program.
• Service: Local high school boys and moms will be serving the community by assisting kids with homework and tutoring.
• Empowerment: Boxing has the power to change lives, and I firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to box.
• Inspiration: "Nothing ever grows without a seed, and nothing ever changes without a dream."

🏞️ Race Details

• Start Time: The 5k race will start at 8:00 AM at Pineville Park.
• Course: The race route will take you along the Greenway, offering a fast and flat course for runners of all levels.
• Entertainment: Enjoy energizing music and explore various vendors set up along the route.
• Commemorative: All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt to remember this heroic event.

🏆 Awards and Recognition

• Prizes: We will be awarding prizes to the top 3 males and females overall, as well as the top 1 in each age group.
• Recognition: Special recognition for the top male and female runners for their outstanding performance.
• Community: Gather your friends, family, and fellow superheroes for a day of fitness, community, and superhero fun.
• Make a Difference: Together, we can make a difference and support our non-profit organization.

🗓️ Packet Pickup and Schedule

• Friday: Packet Pickup - 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Southpaw Training Center (13501 Dorman Rd Pineville, NC 28277)
• Race Day Packet Pickup: Opens at 7:00 AM!
• 7:00 AM: Day of registration and packet pickup / Competition registration opens
• 8:00 AM: 5k Race Starts

🎉 Post-Race Fun

• 9:00 AM: 5k Awards
• 9:15 AM: Activities and Contests (Push Up Contest, Punching Contest and Costume Contest)
• 10:15 AM: Activities and Contests Awards
• 11:00 AM: After party at Middle James Brewing Pineville
