Meck Mile

🏃‍♂️ Your Mile. Your Way.

The Meck Mile presented by Albemarle brings people together from all across Charlotte to run, walk, skip or dance their way through the streets surrounding Memorial Stadium. This race gives participants and spectators alike the chance to hit the streets and see the city we call home from an entirely new perspective.

🎉 Event Highlights

• Participation: Open to all forms of movement, whether running, walking, or dancing.
• Family Friendly: A unique active outing for the whole family.
• Post-Race Party: Enjoy a beer garden, concert stage, kids zone, and sponsor activations.
• Community Spirit: Celebrate what makes Charlotte special together with fellow participants.

👶 Participant Categories

• Recreational: You pick your pace and have an hour to complete the course. This part of the event is untimed.
• Kids: “Kids Dash” for kids 5 and under and a half mile loop for children 13 and under. Free participation with a medal for all kids!
• Competitive: Timed heats for participants who can complete a sub-12-minute mile.
• Elite: For runners who can finish in sub-5 minutes for men and sub-6 minutes for women. $2,000 prize purse.

🏆 Pro Division

• Elite Competition: Open to some of the fastest runners in the world.
• Prize Purse: A total of $20,000 for this division.

• Medals: All adult participants receive a t-shirt and medal, while children receive a special kids medal!
