10th Annual Milford Moves for Veterans 5K

The MILFORD BANK and the MILFORD MOVES FOR VETERANS event committee are extremely happy to host our annual event! We are looking forward to seeing you again at our safe run & walk!

🎉 10th Annual MILFORD MOVES FOR VETERANS

📅 5K Run / Walk on Sunday, June 22, 2025

🔄 EVENT DETAILS

• New Date: We moved our race weekend a week later last year and it worked out great!
• Fundraiser: Join us for a great fundraiser honoring local Veterans.
• Proceeds: All proceeds raised will be donated to Milford's Veterans groups including American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) and Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA).
• Compliance: This event will be held in compliance with State of CT, city and health department guidelines.

🏅 RACE INFORMATION

• Timing: The 5k Run/Walk is bib chip-timed from the start & finish- you receive your ‘net’ time from ‘Last Mile Racing’.
• Prizes: All runners & walkers completing the entire 5k are eligible for prizes based on their time.
• Parking: Plenty of parking in nearby lots, at The Milford Bank on the green, and Colony Grill parking lots (no parking on the racecourse).
• Kids Fun Run: A free Kids, safe “Run For The Flag” Fun Run for kids 10 and younger, weather permitting.

📝 REGISTRATION INFO

• Capacity: Registration closes at 350 people, so sign up before it’s too late!
• Online Registration: Opens March 21 - June 15 with varying fees.
• Military: U.S. Military and Veterans are free unless sold out.
• Waiver: A waiver will be required during registration and no paper registration/cash taken on race day.

🎽 RACE DAY SCHEDULE

• June 20: Bib Pickup from 3pm-5pm at the Milford Bank.
• June 21: Bib Pickup from 9am-11am at The Milford Bank.
• June 22: Bib Pickup from 7:30am-8:55am at Lisman Landing, 37 Helwig St., Milford CT.
• Start Times: 8:40 am Kids Fun Run, 9:00 am 5K Run/Walk start.

🏆 AWARD & PRIZES

• Top Finishers: Special Woodbridge Running Company gift cards to top male, female, and non-binary champions.
• Age Group Awards: 1st place age group GC awards to all 19 & older groups.
• Medals: Awarded to M, F 2nd, 3rd in all age groups & kids 18 & under.
• Discount: Woodbridge Running Company is offering a 10% discount to all participants who bring in their bib by July 31st!

With fixed costs and pre-payment of many items, this means we cannot under any conditions refund any registration fees. IMPORTANT DETAIL - There will be a 350 person limit for this 5k event. We need 200 people just to break even with our fixed costs! We encourage everyone to donate any additional amount to the Milford Veterans.
