Join the Black Rock neighborhood residents as we celebrate 381 years at our annual Run for the Rock 5k! We are back and better than ever. Get ready to enjoy our wonderful neighborhood! We love our traditional Black Rock Day weekend and are very happy to be able to host it again.

🎯REGISTRATION LIMIT

• Registration Cap: Our registration limit for this event will be 450 participants.
• Past Performance: LAST YEAR WE SOLD OUT AND COULD NOT ALLOW ANY RACE WEEKEND REGISTRATIONS - so DON'T DELAY- REGISTER NOW!
• No Day Registration: If we are sold out there WILL NOT BE ANY RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
• Online Only: If not sold out we accept online registrations only (no cash payments on day of) up to 5 minutes prior to the start.

👕ENTRY FEE INCLUDES

• Black Rock Shirt: Your entry fee does include the coveted BLACK ROCK Shirt and they will be available the days before the race and event morning for pickup.
• No Delivery: There is no delivery if you miss the race so please have someone pick it up for you.
• Social Media: Please post photos of yourself during this run/walk on social media with the following hashtags: #runfortherock and #blackrock.
• History: Black Rock’s history spans nearly four centuries beginning as a colonial settlement.

💰EVENT FEES

• $35: 19 yrs old & over - Online cc fee paid by the race!
• $25: 18 yrs old & under - Online cc fee paid by the race! Fees increase June 2nd to $40/$30.
• FREE Kids Fun Run: 1/10 mile from the 3-mile point to the finish. 8 Yrs & under only please.
• Schedule: Event registration opens on Feb 5.

📅SCHEDULE

• May 26: T-shirt size guarantee ends, then- as available.
• June 2: Event Fee increase to $40 for 19 & over and $30 for 18 & under.
• Pickup: Friday June 6 from NOON-3pm at MARATHON SPORTS on the Post Rd in Fairfield.
• Saturday June 7: Pickup from 12:00 - 2:00pm at Sun Kiss Glow, 3008 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport.

🏅RACE DAY

• June 8: 7:30am-8:55am Shirt & bib pickup at the Norden Club.
• 8:45am: Free kids run, last 1/10 mile of the course to the finish line.
• 9:00am: START 5K Race/walk computer chip timed.
• 9:15am: Snacks, fluids, followed by awards.

🏆Awards & Prizes

• Awards Partner: MARATHON SPORTS of FAIRFIELD will present awards.
• Gift Cards: Will be given to 5k CHAMPIONS & more.
• Ceremony: Awards presented for each age group, not individually.
• Presents: You must be present for your award or have someone take it for you.

💧COURSE HYDRATION

At least one WATER TABLE ON COURSE but BE PREPARED- hydrate before & carry your own fluids if needed.

• No Refunds: With fixed costs and pre-payment of many items, we CAN NOT under any conditions REFUND any registration fees.
• Charity Commitment: Whether we are live or need to go virtual, our charity commitment will be maintained.
• Help Needed: If you are truly at a speedy running level (6-7min pace per mile or under) we urge you to be at the FRONT of the start.
• Safety Reminder: PLEASE DO NOT USE EARPODS, HEADPHONES, or similar accessories which will keep you from responding to directions.
