Run for a Pawpose

🏃‍♂️ Join Us for the Inaugural Run

Join us for the inaugural Run for a Pawpose 5K, Kids Fun Run (ages 10 & Under), and Doggie Run, which will take place on the evening of Saturday, May 17th. The Run for a Pawpose event, presented by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, will benefit the Forsyth County Jail's Pups with Purpose training program.

🐕 Event Details

• Open To: Walkers and runners of all ages, as well as dogs.
• Registration: All dogs in attendance must register in advance and proof of the dog's rabies vaccination must be submitted online.
• Goodies: Registered dogs will receive a custom race doggie bandana.
• Participants: Human 5K and Fun Run race participants will receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. No dogs will be permitted to participate in the Kids Fun Run.

North Forsyth High School, 3635 Coal Mountain Drive, Cumming, GA 30028

🕔 Race Start Times

• 5K (for humans and dogs): 7:00 PM
• Kids Fun Run (no dogs): 8:00 PM

📝 Registration

• Availability: Registration will be available online (if not sold out) through race day.
• Early Registration: Register early to take advantage of discounts and guarantee your shirt and finisher medal!

*Participants are guaranteed to receive a shirt/doggie bandana if registered by May 11, 2025, at 11:59 PM*

*Human participants are guaranteed a finisher medal if registered by May 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM*

📦 Packet Pickup

At Big Peach Running Co. - Cumming (5485 Bethelview Road, Suite 430, Cumming, GA 30040)

• Date: Friday, May 16th from 12 PM to 5 PM

At the Race Location under the Big Peach tent

• Date: Race evening (Saturday, May 17th) from 5:30 PM until 10 minutes before the event start time

Packets for Virtual Participants not picked up in-store will be mailed after May 19th.

Please note that we will not be exchanging t-shirt sizes at packet pickup. If we have extras after the race, you may go to the packet pickup tent following the race to see if your size is available for exchange.

Packets for in-person participants not picked up during packet pickup will be donated.

• Overall: Male/female
• Masters: Overall male/female
• Age Group: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in 5-year increments

💖 Support a Good Cause

All donations will support the Forsyth County Jail's Pups with Purpose training program.

🌧️ Weather Policy

Events will be held Rain or Shine.

Race officials may cancel, delay, or change the event if the event is considered not safe for the public.
