Students Cutting Carbon Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Brought to you by Students Cutting Carbon Emissions, a 501c3 organization.

Both the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at Chesterton Athletic Field at 8:00am. Pre-registered participants will receive a short-sleeved race t-shirt: there will also be a limited quantity of t-shirts available for those who register day-of. All 5K runners (or walkers!) will receive a race bib with a chip to keep track of their times, and the top 5 finishers will receive prizes!

• Pre-registration: 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run - $30
• Race Day Registration: Packet Pickup- 7:00am
• Cost: 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run - $35

📍 Race Details

Race starts and ends at Chesterton Athletic Field, which is the field at the corner of N Park Blvd, Shelburne Rd, and Chesterton Rd in Shaker Heights, OH. Those who pre-register will receive a short sleeve race t-shirt. A limited amount of race t-shirts will be available for those who register on the day of the race.

The 5K route will follow along Shelburne Rd just past Green, turn right onto Rocklyn Rd, right onto Laureldale Rd, continue on Landon Rd, left onto McCauley Rd, continue onto Dryden Rd, left onto Parnell Rd, and will continue onto Shelburne Rd until we reach the Chesterton Athletic Field again.

Awards will be given to the Top 5 Overall Runners.

🌍 The Cause

This race is only the beginning of SCCE's journey. The proceeds from the event will be invested into Calvert Impact's Cut Carbon Note, an investment project focusing on sustainability in commercial buildings, a large source of carbon emissions worldwide. SCCE (Students Cutting Carbon Emissions) is a non-profit organization founded and run by students around Greater Cleveland with goals to raise money and make impactful investments, inspire fellow young people, and connect their communities over a shared sustainable future. 🚗 Parking

Street parking will be available on Sherbrook Rd, Courtland Blvd, the other side of N Park Blvd, and Shelburne Rd if needed.
