Join us at the new time of 8:00AM, for the 16th edition of the Avery Brewing Company 4K on the 4th, which is one of Boulder’s best running traditions to do on the 4th of July!

July 4th is celebrated in a number of different ways, with parades, barbecues, sparklers and fireworks, BUT there has been no better way since 2008 to get your July 4th morning off to a great start, than doing Boulder’s traditional Avery Brewing Company 4K on the 4th.

🏁 Course and Festivities

It is run on a flat and fast course, then followed by the best post-race party with Avery Brewing Company beer, Savory Cuisines Catering breakfast burritos and live music!

⏰ New Start Time

The NEW 8:00AM start time comes from participant feedback we have received over the last 2 years.

• HEAT: It can be surprisingly warm at 9:00AM, and starting the race 1 hour earlier would allow participants to run/walk in slightly cooler conditions.
• PARTY: Starting the race 1 hour earlier, means participants can now party post-race for longer! Post race celebrations will still end at 11:00AM.

🇺🇸 Independence Day Celebration

July 4th, also known as “Independence Day”, is a National holiday to mark the historic date in 1776, when the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress. So wear your red, white and blue on Friday July 4th, and come and celebrate Independence Day with us!

• NO Dogs are permitted in the race.
