2025 North Jersey Pride Run

🏳️‍🌈 Event Overview

The North Jersey Pride Run is a 5K and Kids Race in South Orange, NJ that brings our community together and raises funds for North Jersey Pride, Inc.

North Jersey Pride, Inc. is a 501(c)3 dedicated to supporting LGBTQ youth and families through programming and events in the Garden State. We aim to inspire our larger ally community to get involved in the struggle for full equality and to join us in building a world where all young people feel safe, loved and accepted for who they are.

📅 Race Details

• 5K for Participants 18 and Older: $25 ($30 on Race Day)
• 5K for Participants Under 18: $15 ($30 on Race Day)
• Kids' Race (3-9 years old): $5 ($10 on Race Day)
• USATF Certification: This 5K course is certified and welcomes runners and walkers of all ages, speeds, and styles.

🌳 Course and Location

This USATF-certified 5K course begins and ends in Grove Park, South Orange, NJ. Come with your kids, your strollers, and your (5K capable) pets for a good time in the back of the pack. If you're looking for a personal record on this flat, fast certified 5K course, step up to the front and lead the way!

Grove Park is in walking distance to the NJ Transit South Orange Train Station.

⏰ Race Timing

• Race Start Time: 9:00am
• Kids Race Start Time: 10:00am in Grove Park
• Eligibility: All children ages 3-9 years old are eligible for the Kids' Race.
• Heat Division: Depending on the number of participants, the Kids' Race may be divided into heats based on age (distance may be adjusted based on age group as well).

🏆 Awards

• Age Groups: Under 10, 10-13, 14-17, 18-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
• Awards Structure: Within each age group, the runners with the top three times in each of the three gender categories (female, male, and nonbinary) will receive awards.
• Community Participation: In the past, many young children participated in both the 5K and the Kids Race.
