• Mission: The Close the Loop 5K brings together plastic surgeons, patients, and the public in an effort to raise awareness and funds to support breast reconstruction charitable care and research.
• Awareness: Breast cancer is a devastating disease, affecting approximately 1 in 8 women in the United States.
• Funding: Profits generated are awarded to organizations focused on awareness and assistance efforts of women fighting breast cancer or pursuing breast reconstructive surgery.
• Grants: The Plastic Surgery Foundation has allocated 188 grants, totaling over $2 million in awards.
