Join us for the 2ND ANNUAL Paramount Berner 5k Run/Walk hosted by Paramount Run Club (PRC) on Saturday, May 17th! The Paramount Berner 5k Run/Walk AKA “The Berner” is a timed Run/Walk Event first established in 2024 for the purpose of building community around and maintaining accessibility to fitness & health in the Greater Green Bay Area.

❤️ Community Connection

"The Berner" has been a passion project for PRC from the very beginning. A means by which to highlight our community of runners and walkers and share it with so many others.

• Foundation: The running club was originally built on community, friendship, and support around running.
• Growth: Since its inauguration in July of 2023, it’s become a safe space for people from all walks of life.
• Support: We encourage everyone to support and push each other to be the best versions of themselves.
• Showcase: We wanted an opportunity to showcase our community, hence “The Berner” was born.

🐶 Why "Berner"?

Oh yea, why “Berner”? We’re dog people, and a few of us actually have Bernese Mountain Dogs. For those that already know this breed, they are happy, stubborn, and downright goofy dogs.

• Personality: Kind of like we are at PRC - so it seemed like the perfect mascot for this race.
• Playful: Who doesn’t like a good play on words with the word “Berner”? It implies fast, right?
• Ironic: Ironically these dogs aren’t always so fast, and that’s just how we like it.
• Inclusivity: Come as you are - fast, slow, runner, or walker. We’re just happy to build community with you!

🍹 Post-Race Celebration

And you can bet we will be sticking around after the race to hang and enjoy Historic Vickery Village in Downtown Suamico.

💰 Support for Runners

All proceeds will directly benefit Paramount Run Club in supporting local runners through assistance with race fees, race apparel, youth scholarships, and additional events that support the local running community keeping running accessible to all those in our area.
