Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking for a fun, healthy way to start your Independence Day, this event is for you! Stick around after the race to enjoy the Edmonds 4th of July Parade and keep the celebration going. We are changing it up a bit this year and while there is still a chance to beat Ol’ Man Brackett, the focus is more on the parade and community fun. All proceeds benefit the Chamber's programming and bringing great events to Edmonds.

🎽 Race Details

• Event Date: July 4, 2025
• Location: 600 3rd Ave S, Edmonds, WA
• 5K Timing: The 5K is timed and prizes are given for the top three runners in each gender and first place finisher in each age category.
• 5K Route: View the 5K route here.

👕 Early Registration Bonus

• Race T-Shirts: Included with 5K registrations if you sign up by June 4.
• Price: After June 4, the price remains the same but no t-shirt.
• Additional Shirts: Option to purchase additional shirts available to 5K and 1K participants if registered by June 4.
• 1K Family Run: Registration is free, but required to participate! The 1K is NOT timed.

🏁 Start and Finish Line

Start for both races is at Edmonds City Park, and the finish line is at 4th and Main. The race route winds through the scenic streets of Edmonds and the Town of Woodway, culminating in a thrilling finish right on the Edmonds 4th of July parade route, where crowds cheer you on!

🏆 Challenge Ol’ Man Brackett!

Think you’re fast? Try to beat Ol’ Man Brackett! For those speedier runners, a beloved element of the old Edmonds 5K, you can still race against a costumed runner portraying one of Edmonds' legendary founders. If you can beat him to the finish line, you’ll earn bragging rights for the year and a prize to prove it!

Show off your patriotic spirit! Come dressed in your most festive red, white, and blue attire for a chance to win prizes in the 4th of July Costume Contest before the race begins.
