St. Edward 5K Walk & Run

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

Bring your family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and pets and join us for St. Edward School’s 2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run Event! Start a team, join an existing team, or participate as an individual.

🌳 Course Details

• Scenic Route: Run through a scenic 5K trail circling Quarry Lakes Park. Please note that the course is not USATF certified.
• Course Rules: No bikes or skateboards are allowed on the course. Walkers follow the same course as runners.
• Timer Use: This is a non-competitive Walk/Run event: however, you are welcome to use your own timer to assess your speed.
• Post-Race Event: After crossing the finish line, join us for a celebratory picnic with music, silent auction, and raffle.

💰 Proceeds

All proceeds from this 5K will support the ongoing operations and maintenance of St. Edward School that makes quality education possible.

St Edward School is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 94-1535363). All donations to St Edward School are tax-deductible.

📅 Schedule of Events

• 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM: Check-in. Bib & T-shirt pickup. Walk-in registrations will be allowed.
• 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM: Welcome Speeches, Sponsor Acknowledgement.
• 8:00 AM: RACE STARTS!
• 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Walkathon finisher acknowledgements and medal distribution, purchase raffle tickets, silent auction available, pre-ordered food available for pickup.
• 12:00 PM: Celebration with music, silent auction, and raffle ticket sales!
• 12:30 PM: Raffle winners announced.
• 3:00 PM: EVENT WRAP UP!

🗺️ Getting There

From I-880 in Fremont, take the Decoto Road exit east and proceed to Paseo Padre Parkway. Turn right on Paseo Padre, then left on Isherwood Way. Proceed to the park entrance on the right.

From Mission Blvd (Hwy. 238) in Fremont, turn south on Nursery Ave. (away from the hills) and right (west) on Niles Blvd. Turn left on Osprey Drive and left on Quarry Lakes Drive. Proceed to the park entrance on the left.

🅿️ Parking

There are plenty of parking spots at the park. There is a parking fee at this park so please be prepared with payment. The St Edward School 5K Registration desk is located in the Ensenada South Picnic Area and there is a parking lot close to it.

OF NOTE: due to the high traffic that will be expected, please plan ahead to come early.

🎟️ Race Packet Pickup

April 11 2025 between 5 PM - 9 PM we will have a kick-off meeting pre-race day to pick up any last minute race packets at Billy Roy’s (3909 Thornton Ave, Fremont, CA 94536). Come join us if you have questions.

Your race packet will include:

• Race Bib
• Safety pins to attach the bib to your clothing
• Commemorative Shirt
• Food Ticket for those who pre-ordered
• Columbia Employee Invitation Pass to the Columbia Employee store

Please present a copy of your order confirmation and an ID at the registration desk to pick up your bibs.

🏅 Course

• Trail: The 5K course runs through the packed gravel trails circling through Quarry Lakes Park.
• Start Waves: Start waves will take place from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
• Course Safety: Please stay on the trails, taking shortcuts can be dangerous.
• Dog Policy: All dogs must be on a leash and with their owners at all times.

🚰 Other Amenities

• Water Stations: Water stations will be located close to every mile marker.
• First Aid: First aid will be available at every water station and at the Registration/Check-in desk.
• Restrooms: The park has several restrooms available for your use.

🏅 Finisher Medals

Your finisher medals can be picked up after the race at the designated finish line table. We cannot guarantee medals for registrations made after April 05, 2025.

🎉 Silent Auction and Raffle Basket Prize

Annual St. Edward Walk/Run Event will hold a silent auction and raffle draw for baskets after the race. Raffle basket ticket holders need not be present to win.
