For over 200 years, Parkinson Disease has been steadily growing—and recently, at an alarming rate. It is now the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world. In the U.S., Florida has the highest number of cases per capita, with over 79,000 individuals affected, contributing to the 1 million cases nationwide and 10 million globally. That number is projected to rise to 12.9 million by 2040.

Parkinson’s is a chronic, progressive, and complex multi-system disorder with no known cure. While often classified as a movement disorder, it affects much more than just physical movement, impacting mental, emotional, and autonomic functions as well.

💡 Our Mission

• Community Support: The Lee Health Parkinson Program has served over 4,500 individuals in our community.
• Ongoing Assistance: Currently supports nearly 2,000 people.
• Resources: Provides hope and critical resources to help individuals and families navigate the challenges of living with Parkinson’s.
• Free Services: Offers personalized support, education, movement and exercise classes, enrichment groups, and social activities.

• Date: April 5th, 2025, with 1 Mile or 2 Mile options at 9:00 am.
• Location: Lee Health Sports Park, Hammond Field.
• Type: 1 Mile or 2 Mile walk fundraiser for the Lee Health Parkinson Program.
