🎓 About the Beneficiary

Student Council would like to announce Pam Olson as our 2025 beneficiary for the Gary Engels Memorial (GEM) 5K. Gary Engels was an English teacher at Campus High School who left a legacy at Campus and in the Haysville Community. In his honor, a new beneficiary is chosen each year.

❤️ Pam Olson's Journey

• Position: Math teacher at Campus High School (CHS).
• Health Challenges: Battling a brain tumor, meningitis, and diabetic retinopathy.
• Treatments: Participated in the Cyberknife program and radiation treatments for the brain tumor: undergoing injections, laser treatments, and surgeries for retinopathy.
• Impact: Students love Ms. Olson, and many say that she makes learning math fun! She has taught at CHS for over 30 years and has positively influenced many generations.

• Event Date: April 26th, 2025.
• Check-in: Starts at 9 AM.
• Race Start Time: 9:30 AM.
• Registration: Includes a t-shirt: however, a t-shirt is not guaranteed if signing up after April 11th.

Please invite friends and family to join you in the race. If you cannot make it but would like to donate, you may do so as well.

📍 Race Route

The race will begin and end on the North side of Riggs Park at the Timberlane Shelter in Haysville, KS, and follow the bike/walking path.
