Mighty Mile - FREE RACE FOR KIDS - Northville

🏃‍♂️ Mighty Mile Overview

• Eligibility: The Mighty Mile is for kids only ages 5 to 14 years old.
• Race Benefits: All runners will receive a T-shirt, Backpack, and a chipped timed accurate mile.
• Finisher Medal: Once the runner crosses the finish line they will receive a Mighty Mile Finisher Medal.

📚 Get Active!

• Encouragement: Calling all Elementary and Middle School students: Finish up your school year with a challenging and fun mile and get your Summer off to an active healthy start!
• Cost: FREE! There is no entry fee to run the Mighty Mile.
• Registration: Online registration only: To participate in the event you must register your child on this site prior to the race.
• Space Limit: Race is limited to the first 300 participants. Register for the race early!

📅 Race Details

• Date: June 6th, 2025
• Location: Northville Hillside Middle School Track (8 mile stadium)
• Schedule:
  • Race 1: 6:30pm | 5 - 7 year olds
  • Race 2: 6:40pm | 8 – 9 year olds
  • Race 3: 7:00pm | 10 - 11 year olds
  • Race 4: 7:15pm | 12 - 14 year olds

🕒 Results & Awards

• Timing: This race will be electronically timed using the disposable tag system on the bib number.
• Results Availability: Results will be available immediately after the race and will be posted on this website.
• Awards: There are no awards for the race: all runners will receive a Mighty Mile medal upon completion.

🗺️ Course Information

• Course Layout: The start and finish is on the Northville Hillside Middle School Track, with a loop on school grounds.
• Track Distance: The first and last 1/4 mile of the race is on the track.
• Encouragement: Support will be provided by members of the Northville Middle School Track team along the course.

💧 Important Notes

• Refreshments: Please note there are no refreshments after the event, you must bring your own water for your child.
• Fee Information: The race is FREE, but registration must be done online prior to the race.
• Packet Pick Up: Race day at the Hillside Middle School Track starting at 5:45 pm and ending at 7:00 pm.

🏅 Event Hosting

• Organizer: The race is hosted by the MICHIGAN RUNNING FOUNDATION, a non-profit whose mission is to encourage youth running.
