Join the Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho for the Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk. 2025 - a movement that brings our community together to educate, spread awareness and make a difference for the people we love who live with epilepsy. These nationwide events are dedicated to the memory of Sharon Rosenfeld, a nurse and teacher who cared deeply about epilepsy and advocated helmet safety. Click here to learn more about Sharon and helmet safety.
Funds raised from Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk. provide education and awareness, training programs on seizure recognition and first aid, as well as access to specialty and supportive care for the nearly 17,000 people affected by epilepsy here in Idaho. Register as an individual, join a team or create your own team! After registration, you'll be able to create your own personal fundraising page and/or team page. Get your friends, family members and co-workers to support your individual or team fundraising - share your personal story.
More people live with epilepsy than with autism spectrum disorders, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy combined. Epilepsy is one of the world’s oldest known medical conditions, yet people with epilepsy still face stigma and misunderstanding. 1/3 of individuals are able to control their seizures with diet, medications and other therapies: others continue to struggle with an unexplained diagnosis. Much more research is needed to understand the cause of epilepsy and eventually find a cure.
Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk is more than an event, it's a CELEBRATION! We encourage you to take photos of your time at our event and share them on social media. There will be a photo booth onsite with accessories to level up your picture game. When sharing your pictures online, please tag us (@epilepsyidaho) or use the hashtags:
