7th eRACE The Stigma 5K RUN/WALK

🏃‍♂️ DESCRIPTION

• Mission: eRACE THE STIGMA's mission is to provide mental health awareness, support, and education as well as direct help to families in crisis or organizations that help families/individuals.
• Partnership: eRace the Stigma is partnering with the Wicomico Public Schools and The Wicomico Local Management Board to offer a 5k race during the 3rd Annual Children's Mental Health Awareness Fair in the Salisbury City Park.
• 501C3 Status: eRace the Stigma is a 501C3 and proceeds from the race go to individuals in need of treatment, and/or organizations who provide education/awareness/treatment for mental health, illness, and/or addiction.

• Start Time: 5:30 pm Start

📝 RACE REGISTRATION

• 5k Run/Walk:
  • Early Registration: $25.00 until 4/15/25 at midnight
  • Pre-Registration: $30.00 until race-day at 5:00 pm
• 5k "Non-Competitive" Walk:
  • Early Registration: $25.00 until 4/15/25 at midnight
  • Pre-Registration: $30.00 until race-day at 5:00 pm
• Universal Application: A Universal Paper Application is also available on the Seashore Strider website for those who would rather mail in their entry form.
• Mailing Address: Seashore Striders, eRace the Stigma 5k, 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, DE 19958, checks payable to “Seashore Striders”.

⏰ RACE-DAY TIME SCHEDULE

• Packet Pick-up: 4:00 pm-5:00 pm for all PRE-REGISTERED RUNNERS & WALKERS
• Late Registration: 4:00 pm-5:00 pm
• Closing Time: 5:00 pm, Packet Pickup & Late Registration will close...No Exceptions
• Opening Ceremony: 5:15 pm with guest speaker & final race instructions
• Race Start: 5:30 pm
• Awards Ceremony: 6:15 pm

💖 TO BENEFIT

• Proceeds: Proceeds from the race go to individuals in need of treatment, and/or organizations who provide education/awareness/treatment for mental health, illness, and/or addiction.

• Distance: 3.11 mile course at the Salisbury City Park in Salisbury, MD

📏 COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Participant Requirements: ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO RUN ON THE COURSE THAT IS MARKED WITH ARROWS AND CONES. PLEASE STAY ON THE ROAD WHERE IT IS MARKED AND POLICE ARE STATIONED.
• Compliance: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RACE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE EVENT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER. RACE DIRECTOR TIM-SS

⏱️ RACE TIMING

• Timing System: Seashore Strider Event Production Inc. will chip time the event using the Chronotrack chip timing system.

🎁 RACE AMENITIES

• T-Shirts: Short Sleeve 100% Pre-Shrunk Cotton T-shirts guaranteed to all PRE-Registered participants by 5/6/24...register early!
• Awards: Cool Awards, Post-Race Award Celebration, Lots of Family Events and Information at the Children’s Mental Health Fair.

🏆 AWARDS

• Categories: 5k Individual Awards for Overall Male & Female, Master Male & Female, and top 3 finishers in 10 year age groups from 9 & U to 70 & O. No Awards in the "Non-Competitive" 5k event.

🚗 RACE PARKING

• Availability: Plenty of Parking in the Salisbury City Park.

🔄 REFUNDS/DEFERRAL

• Policy: The Seashore Striders have a 'No Refund' policy, but offers the following options: 1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year. 2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program. 3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.
