- Host: The Family Life Center will be hosting its 3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk for Life!
- Challenge: This race is challenging with great competition.
- Course: You will love the course scenery on the General Dacey Trail at Forest Park!
- Purpose: Please help us make this race a huge success and allow us to continue to provide education, parenting classes, ultrasounds and help to young families in the area.

📋 Schedule of Events
- Packet Pickup: Thursday, April 24, 2025, 1:00pm – 4:30pm at Family Life Center, 225 E South 1st St, Shelbyville, IL 62565
- Race Day Registration: Saturday, April 26, 2025, 7:00 – 7:45 am
- Start Time: 8:00 am: 5K Run/Walk Starts
- Awards: 9:30 am: Awards for 1st place in each age group will be awarded
💰 Registration Fees
- Cost: $25 per person or $75/family of 5
- T-shirt Details: Race shirt not included after April 14th – small quantities available for purchase on race day
- Includes: Registration includes race entry, packet, bib, and timed chip.
- No Refunds: Rain or shine, no refunds. Registration is available on race day.
🛠️ Race Day FAQ
- Packet Pick-up: At Family Life Center on Thursday or at Dacey Trail on Saturday: 7:00am - 7:45am
- Course Start: The 5K starts at the Forest Park entrance of the Dacey Trail.
- Traffic: Portions of the course will remain open to traffic. Watch for traffic!
- Timing: Bib timing provided by Kinetic Timing. Attach your bib to your shirt prior to the race.
🏥 Health and Safety
- Hydration: Drink fluids before, during, and after the race.
- Water Stations: There will be a water station along the course with water available.
- Traffic Control: Volunteers will assist with traffic control, but safety is ultimately your own responsibility.
- First Aid: First aid will be provided by Family Life Center.
🏆 Awards
- Categories: Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in each age group.
- Age Groups: 19 and Under, 20-35, 35-50, 51-65, 65 and Over
- Claiming Awards: Awards must be claimed at the event.

- Free Parking: Available in Forest Park north and east of the ball fields near the entrance of the Dacey Trail.
