19th Annual Golden Gallop

🏃‍♂️ Welcome to the Golden Gallop!

Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden, where the west RUNS!

📅 Event Details

• Date: Sunday, September 21, 2025
• Location: 701 24th St, Golden, CO
• Race Course: The same great course through downtown under the Golden 'Welcome' arch, with the start and finish at Golden High School.
• Race Loops: This Golden Gallop will lead its runners on 5k and 10k loops as in previous years.

🐶 Dog Participation

• Welcome: The Golden Gallop is again welcoming well-behaved DOGS this year to the 5K and 10K!
• Registration: Be sure to register your dog in the "Add On" section if your dog is joining you this year.
• Giveaways: Registered dogs will receive a Gallop giveaway such as a bandana, collar charm, etc., included in your race packet.
• Note: Dogs can NOT participate in the Kids Fun Run.

🧑‍🍼 Racers with Strollers

• Position: Runners with dogs and/or strollers must be at the back of the pack of racers at the starting line.

🏆 Choose Your Event

• 5K
• 10K
• Kids Fun Run
• Sleep In: For those that can't make it on race day or just want to sleep in.

💰 Awards and Prizes

• Cash Awards: $150 first place: $100 second place: $50 third place for both the male and female in the 10K and 5K (total of 12 cash awards).
• Age Group Awards: Categories for both the 5K & 10K include M/F for all age groups (10 and Under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+).
• Bonus: Anyone who sets a new course record will receive a $100 bonus.
• T-Shirt Sizes: We cannot guarantee t-shirt size availability as we get closer to race day (register by September 1st to guarantee t-shirt size).

🏫 Support Our Schools

The Golden Gallop is the annual fundraiser for the Golden Schools Foundation (GSF), which provides educational funding for our seven Golden neighborhood articulation schools. GSF is a 501(c)(3) formed to encourage a high level of performance and accountability at the Golden neighborhood articulation schools. The Golden Gallop helps make it possible to provide $40,000 in support to our Golden schools on an annual basis.
