Event Introduction: Formerly the Ford Elementary Jingle Jog - we are now introducing the inaugural spring Mustang Madness 5K and Fun Run!
Purpose: This race is a fundraising event to benefit the Ford Elementary School Foundation.
Foundation Goals: The Ford Elementary School Foundation (FESF) established in 2005, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing enhanced educational opportunities.

📅 EVENT DETAILS
Date and Time: The 5K will be on Saturday, March 1st and begin and end in the Bus Port at Ford Elementary School (1345 Mars Hill Rd. Acworth, GA 30101).
Fun Run Start: The race will kick off with a 1K fun run at 7:45 am.
5K Start: A timed 5K will begin at 8:00 am.
🏞️ COURSE
Course Type: The course is an out and back loop with rolling hills.
Course Route: Exiting the Ford Elementary Bus Port, turn right on Mars Hill Rd., then right on Fords Rd. with a turnaround at County Line Road.
AWARDS
Age Categories: Awards will be given for top 3 finishers of each age category for Male & Female.
Overall Winners: We will also award the top overall Male & Female winners of the race.
Categories List: The age categories are Kindergarten-5th grade, Middle School, High School, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.

Shirt Guarantee: T-shirts are guaranteed to all registrations received prior to February 7th.
🅿️ PARKING
Parking Availability: There will be parking at Ford Elementary School - in the school lots as well as along the car line lanes.
☔ WEATHER
Event Conditions: The race will happen rain or shine.
Emergency Updates: Check your email on race morning for real-time updates on the status of the race if there is severe weather.
📝 REGISTRATION
Online Registration: Closes at 11:59 pm on Wednesday, February 26th.
Race Day Registration: Available from 7:00 - 7:40 am in the Ford Cafeteria.
💵 REFUNDS
No Refunds Policy: No refunds or transfers are allowed.
Cancellation Terms: Registration fees are not refundable in the event of race cancellation due to extreme conditions.
📦 PACKET PICK-UP
Pick-up Time: Packet pick-up will be held in the Cafeteria on race morning starting at 7 am.
Student Packets: Some student packets may be sent home with students the Friday prior to the race.
⏱️ TIMING
Timing Method: This race is a gun-timed event.
Volunteer Support: Volunteers will record times at the finish line.

💧 WATER STATIONS
Water Availability: There will be one water station on the course at the turnaround site on County Line Rd.
Post-Race Refreshments: Additional water, post-race snacks, and pancake breakfast will be available at the finish line.
🚑 FIRST AID
Emergency Protocol: In case of an emergency, notify one of the on-site volunteers or a police officer.
🚻 RESTROOMS
Restroom Access: Restrooms are available inside the school through the cafeteria entrance.
