The Max Gruver Foundation believes there is no place for hazing in any organization. The purpose is to educate young people and parents about the dangers of hazing, the signs of hazing, and the importance of stepping up and helping when a situation appears to be getting out of control.
🕊️ About the Foundation
The Max Gruver Foundation, based in Roswell, Georgia, is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2017 following the death of Roswell teen Max Gruver.
- Tragic Background: Max was killed in a fraternity hazing ritual during his first semester at Louisiana State University.
- Advocacy Work: Since that tragic day, his parents, Rae Ann and Steve Gruver, have worked tirelessly to fight hazing in organizations across the country.
- Community Engagement: They regularly speak at universities and high schools, work with Greek leadership nationwide, and with legislators to create stronger laws against hazing.
- Impact: Their work has made tremendous changes, and will continue to do so.
🎉 Race Details
Participants can expect a high energy, fun morning with a mostly flat loop course. Runners and walkers of all levels are encouraged to participate.
