Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile celebrates Tom's lasting impact on the lives he touched. Tom served as the track and cross-country coach for over twenty years, first at Alliance High School (Alliance, OH) and then at Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio. The proceeds from this event will be used to create a scholarship in Tom's name and be awarded to a senior track or cross-country runner from the Parma City School District.

⏱️ Race Details

• Chip-timed: Both the 5K and 1 Mile events will be chip-timed.
• Open to all: Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to participate.
• Combo category: You can register for both distances and your times will be combined for rankings.
• Ice cream treats: All runners will be treated to ice cream at the finish line - Tom's absolute favorite food!

🏆 Divisions and Participation

We hope to have dedicated divisions for middle school and high school runners. We would love to have as many scholastic athletes as possible. Coaches or athletic directors, contact us for discounted pricing.

📍 Location

The Tom Schreiber Memorial Run will be held in Parma Heights, Ohio, and will include running past Tom's longtime home on Woodview Blvd.
