Run in the Park--Highland Park 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join the Highland Park Recreation Department and Main Street Highland Park for our 15th annual Highland Park NJ "Run in the Park" 5k race & Kids' Races on Sunday, May 4th! Come take a run, walk, or stroll through the downtown and beautiful neighborhoods of Highland Park NJ for a great cause. Race proceeds to benefit the Highland Park Public Schools PTOs.

🗺️ Course Details

• Traffic Closure: The course is closed to traffic during the race.
• Start Point: The race starts on North 5th Ave by the high school.
• Mile One: Heads downhill towards New Brunswick for a fast first mile.
• Finish Line: The race winds through historic streets before finishing on the high school track.

👶 Kids Races

Kids races will take place on the track after the 5k at approximately 10 am.

📝 5K Registration

• Early Registration: $30 (+ RunSignUp fee) before 3/18.
• Standard Registration: $35 (+ RunSignUp fee) from 3/19 to 4/18.
• Late Registration: $40 (+ RunSignUp fee) from 4/18 to 5/3.
• Race Day: Registration will be $45.

$3 off for USATF members except race day registration. 5k participants will receive a t-shirt while supplies last. T-shirt size is not guaranteed for all registrants.

👦 Kids Race Fees

• Before 4/18: $12 (+ RunSignUp fee).
• From 4/18: $14 (+ RunSignUp fee).
• Race Day: $16 (no additional fees).

📅 Race Day Logistics

Save time on race morning and pick up your HP5K race t-shirt and race bib early! Come to 212 Raritan Avenue (we'll be outside) on Friday from 11 am - 6 pm, or Saturday from 10 am - 12 pm to pick it up. If you can't make it, you'll still be able to pick up on race morning from 7:45 - 8:45 am in the rear parking lot of the Highland Park High School off of N. Fifth Avenue.

We also hope to see you in downtown Highland Park after the 5K for the Spring Street Fair from 11:30 - 4:30 pm!
