Join us for the 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Day event, The Big Turkey Half Marathon and 5K, on 2025-11-27 at 136 Oak Ridge Rd., Clark, NJ. More details and registration can be found here.

🏞️ Race Venue

• Location: Oak Ridge Park in Union County, NJ is a runner's paradise.
• Course: Paved paths along manicured lawns with birch, oak, and pine trees lining the mostly flat course.
• Tradition: This annual event offers a 5K on a certified USATF course.
• Challenge: Participants can choose to run either 13.1 miles or 5K and enjoy the holiday festivities afterward.

🎖️ Participation Perks

• Finisher Medal: All participants receive a finisher medal.
• T-shirt: Technical t-shirt for all participants.
• Auto Registration: All half marathon participants are automatically registered in the 5K.
• Awards: Overall awards for the top three male and female finishers in each distance and age group awards for each gender.

⏰ Event Details and Schedule

Important Race Day Info

• Arrival: Show up ready to run approximately 30 minutes prior to the start.
• Bib Pickup: If you do not have your bib, follow directions from staff.

Start Times

• 9:00 AM: Half Marathon
• 9:15 AM: 10K Race
• 9:20 AM: 5K Race

Course Support

• Hydration Stations: Traditional water and Gatorade support stations with paper cups.
• Energy Supplies: Power gels handed out to keep you going.
• Trash Management: Trash receptacles and volunteers on the course for all trash.

🎽 Amenities

• Finisher Medals: Die cast finisher medal for all participants.
• Awards: Plaque awards for top 3 overall and for age groups of 10.
• Timing: Every loop is timed in real-time! Families can track you per loop.
• Media: Video and images uploaded within 2 hours from the end of the race.

🏆 Awards Overview

• Overall Winners: Top three awards for male and female winners.
• Age Group Awards: For age groups of 10 years starting at 13 & under, 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, through 70 & Better.
