Night Glow 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Inauguration: The inaugural Jackson Night Glow event took place in 1997, quickly evolving in 1998 to the cherished evening celebration it is today.
• Community Spirit: This race continues to foster a strong sense of community within and beyond Jackson Township.
• Inclusivity: The Jackson Night Glow is an all-inclusive 5k evening event designed for individuals of all ages.
• Experience: Participants will experience a vibrant night race illuminated by a captivating array of glowing elements.

🎉 Event Details

• Fun Run: The event features a fun run designed for younger participants before the main festivities.
• Start Line: Runners, Duo Teams, former athletes, and individuals taking part in their inaugural race will set off from the starting line amidst a dazzling fireworks display.
• Post-Race Gathering: After the race, all runners and supporters are encouraged to connect with one another while enjoying a selection of snacks and beverages.
• Organization: This event is organized and hosted by the Jackson High School Cross Country team and their supporters.

🥇 Awards and Medals

• Categories: Race participants compete in various age categories for a chance to win one of three commemorative medals.
• T-Shirt: Early registrants can snag a stylish Jackson Night Glow 5k T-shirt at packet pickup.
• Unique Features: What makes the original Night Glow 5k so unique includes luminaries, fireworks, and an amazing atmosphere.
• Packet Pickup Deadline: The event will close at packet pickup on the 19th.

• Packet Pickup: Thursday, June 19 - 5:00-8:00pm at Jackson High School (7600 Fulton Drive N.W. Massillon, OH 44646)
• Event Day: No Event Day Registration! Arrive prior to 8:45 PM!

🅿️ Parking Information

• Thursday Parking: Packet Pickup will be at the High School - enter from the west side of the school - Door 16W.
• Friday Parking: Race Night Parking will be located at Jackson Middle School (right near the start and finish line).
• Road Closures: Arlington Ave & Mudbrook St will be closed at 8:45 PM.
• Shut Down: Fulton Road will be shutdown during registration!

🏅 Awards and Donations

• Awards Distribution: Awards will be given out at the conclusion of the event - the awards tent will be near the finish line.
• Age Groups: 5K Run & Fun Walk will consist of top 5 overall and top 4 in each age group.
• Competitive Walk: The 5K Competitive Walk will consist of top 3 overall and top 3 in each age group.
• Support Nonprofits: Donations support various nonprofit organizations that participate in the event.
