🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

The Rise & Run 5K/Walk is more than just a race: it’s a celebration of the resurrected King, a movement for mental health awareness, and a chance to bring hope to those struggling with anxiety and depression. The event is hosted by Forever Changed Ministries- 501c3 nonprofit Fundraiser.

⏰ Event Details

• 5K Race: Starting at 8:00 AM run or walk with your whole family!
• Kids' Fun Run: Beginning at 9:30 AM, this fun-filled activity allows everyone to participate in the 5K and still enjoy Easter festivities with their families at Leo's Landing. Bring a basket for your eggs.

🌟 Unique Features

• Scripture Journey: The 5K journey will have scripture all throughout the walk to mediate on the suffering Jesus went through.
• Mental Health Testimonies: We will have a couple mental health quick testimonies throughout the event of how they have overcome depression.
• Special Speaker: Congressman from the Statehouse will be opening for us.
• Interactive Bible Reading: Before the Easter Egg hunt, there will be a special Bible reading/interactive time.

🎁 Kid's Activities

• Goodie Bags: Every kid receives a goodie bag focused on the resurrection with some fun surprises.
• Grand Prizes: Some jaw-dropping Grand Prizes for the kiddos.
• Raffles: Raffles that will make you so happy you made it.
• Dance Performance: Special gospel dance performance from SC Christian Dance Theater.

The proceeds from this event will help fund the completion of impactful films in the documentary Sound Mind Series, which focus on mental health topics such as anxiety and depression. These films aim to inspire understanding, reduce stigma, and provide hope and healing to individuals and families. Whether you're running for a cause, walking for awareness, or simply joining us to support mental health initiatives, this event promises to be both memorable and meaningful.

❓ FAQs

Registration Questions

• Registering Kids: All children 10 & under participating in the egg hunt must register for the Fun Run Egg Hunt option! All children 11 & up must register for the 5K either Run or Walk option.
• Competing for Medals: If you want your 10 & under child to compete in the 5K for a medal award, you must register them under the Rise & Run 5K to get a bib for timing. Registration WILL INCLUDE them in the egg hunt.
• Stroller Registration: If you are a Mom with a stroller during the 5K, you do not need to register your stroller child/baby unless they are participating in the fun run/egg hunt.
• Fun Run Details: The fun run is a half mile and will end with Leo's landing for an egg hunt.

Awards Information

• Awards: Awards for the TOP MALE & TOP FEMALE in each age bracket!
• Age Groups: Top male and female in each age group: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-75, 75 & up.
• Special Categories: Fastest HS Sports Team (one male group and one female group winner in each category), Fastest Middle Sports Team (one male group and one female group winner in each category), Largest Business or Church Group (one onsite group & one virtual group winner in each category).

Group Registration

• Joining a Group: When you register, you will be able to click join or create a group. A group is a minimum of 3 runners.

Event Details

• T-Shirts: Guaranteed T-Shirt Date March 24th.
• Weather: Rain or shine, the event happens!

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Friday, April 11: Packet pick-up will be held at Fleet Feet in Irmo, located at 945 Lake Murray Blvd, Suite A, Irmo, SC 29063, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Receive a 10% discount from Fleet Feet.
• Saturday, April 12: Race day on-site packet pick-up will begin at 7:00 AM at Saluda Shoals Park.
