Rise and Run / Walk 5k

📅 Event Details

• 5K Race: Starting at 8:00 AM, the race features a fast, flat, and scenic closed course, perfect for runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels.
• Kids' Fun Run with Easter Egg Hunt: Beginning at 9:30 AM, this fun-filled activity allows everyone to participate in the 5K and still enjoy Easter festivities with their families at Leo's Landing. Bring a basket for your eggs.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Friday, April 11: Packet pick-up will be held at Fleet Feet in Irmo, located at 945 Lake Murray Blvd, Suite A, Irmo, SC 29063, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Receive a 10% discount from Fleet Feet.
• Saturday, April 12: Race day on-site packet pick-up will begin at 7:00 AM at Saluda Shoals Park.

• Proceeds: Proceeds from this event will help fund the completion of impactful films in the documentary Sound Mind Series, which focus on mental health topics such as anxiety and depression.
• Awareness: These films aim to inspire understanding, reduce stigma, and provide hope and healing to individuals and families.

❓ FAQ’s

1. I am confused. I am a mother how do I register my kids?

• Registration: All children 10 & under participating in the egg hunt must register for the Fun Run Egg Hunt option!
• Age: All children 11 & up must register for the 5K either Run or Walk option.
• Timing: If you want your 10 & under child to compete in the 5K for a medal award, you must register them under the Rise & Run 5K to get a bib for timing. This registration WILL INCLUDE them in the egg hunt.
• Strollers: If you are a Mom with a stroller during the 5K you do not need to register your stroller child/baby unless they are participating in the fun run/egg hunt - then be sure to register them for the fun run.

2. Will there be awards?

• Awards: Awards for the TOP MALE & TOP FEMALE in each age bracket!
• Age Groups: Top male and female in each age group: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-75, 75 & up.
• Special Categories: Fastest HS Sports Team, Fastest Middle Sports Team, Largest Business or Church Group.

3. How do I start or join a group?

• Group Registration: When you register you will be able to click join or create a group.

4. Does everyone get a shirt?

• Guaranteed T-Shirt Date: March 24th

5. What happens if it rains?

• Weather Policy: Rain or shine the event happens!
