🎉 The New Year's 5K
Join us January 1, 2025, at this annual SELL OUT 5K open to runners and walkers on New Year's Day for our FIRST CHANCE 5K of the year. This year we are hosting in downtown Safety Harbor in an out and back fully paved 5K on the water's edge of beautiful downtown Safety Harbor.
📍 Event Location
- Venue Change: Because the race is almost at capacity our host venue has moved from Southern Fresh to United Smokehouse 519 2nd Street South, Safety Harbor, FL 34695.
- Parking: Parking is FREE downtown at and around United Smokehouse.
- Check-In: Race day check-in opens at 9 a.m.
- Start Time: The run/walk begins at 10 a.m.
🎊 Pre-Race and Post-Race Festivities
- Participant Walk: At 9:45, Suzanne will walk all participants a quarter of a mile to our start/finish line at the marina.
- Post-Race Party: Come back to United Smokehouse for your free Mimosa at our post-race party at 10:45 a.m.
- Food and Drinks: Enjoy BBQ and a full liquid cash bar featuring bloody Mary's, and fun trivia that will make you laugh all the way into the new year.
- Email Notification: An email will be sent to all registrants the day before the 5K with your bib number assignment and arrival and parking instructions.

- Participants: Registration is open to the first 100 participants. If your registration processes here on Active.com YOU ARE IN.
- Waiting List: If not please text 727-CAN-RACE to get on our waiting list.
- All Ages: This race is open to all ages and levels of ability.

🏅 What’s Included
- Registration Perks: Your registration includes your choice of our best finisher's medals from 2024 and 2025, a tech race shirt, and a timed 5K.
- Post-Race Party: A free drink back at United Smokehouse for our post-race trivia party which will last into the afternoon.
- Awards: Though everyone receives an awesome finisher's medal, we do not give age group awards. We will present a top finishers framed award to the first fifteen males and for fifteen females to come across the finish line.
- Race Results: Race results are not posted on race day, but you can look them up later at www.727canrace.com.
