🏃♂️ Race Overview
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6527 in Greenwood, Arkansas, will be hosting a chipped-timed 5K Run/Walk for Warriors on February 22, 2025. All monies raised will be used to help local veterans in-need.
🕗 Check-in Details
- 5K check-in: between 8-8:45am at our VFW POST on the Square in Greenwood, AR, at 305 E Center St.
📍 Starting Point
- Location: OUR STARTING POINT IS AT THE COAL MINER's MEMORIAL, NEXT TO FIRST NATIONAL BANK.
🗺️ Race Route
- Route: The route will take you STRAIGHT ACROSS Bell Road, pass behind the high school and back down Main Street, with a finish at Town Square.
- Markers: WE WILL HAVE CLEAR MARKERS ON THE ROAD AND A NEW MAP POSTED BEFOREHAND for you.
⏱️ Timing and Volunteers
- Chip Timing: The race will be officially chipped and timed with Jaymax Race Timing Services.
- Volunteers: Volunteers will man various locations along the route.
🏅 Awards and Medals
- Medals: MEDALS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS.
- Top place medals: in different age categories and t-shirts for the first 250 to register.
- Costume Awards: THIS YEAR* Placement medals for FASTEST and CUTEST (DOG) COSTUME (1ST, 2ND, 3RD PLACE EACH CATEGORY).
