🏃♂️ Event Overview
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6527 in Greenwood, Arkansas, will be hosting a chipped-timed 5K Run/Walk for Warriors on February 22, 2025. All monies raised will be used to help local veterans in-need.
📅 Check-In Information
- 5K check-in: Between 8-8:45am at our VFW POST on the Square in Greenwood, AR, at 305 E Center St.
- Starting Point: Our starting point is at the Coal Miner's Memorial, next to First National Bank.
🗺️ Race Route
- Route Details: The route will take you straight across Bell Road, pass behind the high school and back down Main Street, with a finish at Town Square.
- Markers: We will have clear markers on the road and a new map posted beforehand for you.
⏱️ Timing and Volunteers
- Chipped Timing: The race will be officially chipped and timed with Jaymax Race Timing Services.
- Volunteers: Volunteers will man various locations along the route.
🏅 Awards and Medals
- Medals: Medals for all participants.
- Top Place Medals: Top place medals in different age categories and t-shirts for the first 250 to register.
- Costume Awards: This year, placement medals for fastest and cutest (dog) costume (1st, 2nd, 3rd place each category).
