🏁 THE RACE

Make plans now to join us for the 21st Annual Run With the Dogs 5K and Pup Trot! We are excited to return to Beacon Hill Middle School with an exciting course in the Decatur neighborhoods of MAK (McDonough-Adams-Kings Highway) and Oakhurst. All 5K participants who register before January 11 will receive our famous long-sleeved T-shirt designed by artist (and Decatur lacrosse coach) Adam Pinsley. Register early for the best rates!

Run With the Dogs 5K is an annual fundraiser of the Decatur Bulldogs Boosters and supports the athletic programs at Decatur High School and Beacon Hill Middle School.

The Boosters raise money annually to meet the needs of student athletes, including uniforms and equipment. These funds are used to support 1,100 student athletes on all 57 teams representing 19 sports at Decatur and Beacon Hill. Run With the Dogs is one of the Booster Club’s biggest annual fundraisers and a can’t-miss community event for all ages.

📅 DETAILS ABOUT THIS YEAR'S RACE

START LOCATION: Beacon Hill Middle School, 220 W. College Avenue, Decatur

START TIMES: 8:30 am 1 mile Pup Trot, 9:00 am 5K

AWARDS: To overall 1st place male, female, and nonbinary runners, masters 1st place male, female, and nonbinary runners, and top male, female, and nonbinary finishers in each age group category listed below. Awards will be distributed after the 5K. Special thanks to Fleet Feet Decatur for their generous donation of gift cards for all award winners.

AGE GROUPS: 11 & under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 & 70 and over.

💰 ENTRY FEES:

• 5K Individuals: $35 until 11/22, $40 11/23-12/31, $50 1/1-1/24, $55 race day
• 5K City Schools of Decatur Students (18 and under), Teachers & Employees and City of Decatur Employees: $30 until 11/22, $35 11/23-12/31, $45 1/1-1/24, $50 race day
• 1-Mile Pup Trot Individuals: $25
• 1-Mile Pup Trot City Schools of Decatur Students (18 and under), Teachers & Employees and City of Decatur Employees: $20
