- Features: Includes footbridge crossings.
- Sightseeing: Views of Beaufort Inlet, Bogue Sound, and Atlantic Ocean throughout the course.

- Organization: Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter, Inc (OWLS) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) wildlife shelter.
- Mission: To rehabilitate and release injured, sick, and orphaned native North Carolina wildlife.
- Education: OWLS offers educational outreach to connect people to nature and wildlife.
- Support: OWLS relies on donations from the public, corporate, and foundation supporters.
📅 Registration Fees
- Cost: $35 - includes an OWLS short sleeve tee shirt.
- Deadline: Register by March 10th to guarantee your race shirt.
- Pre-sign in: T-shirt pick-up will be Friday, March 28th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at OWLS, 100 Wildlife Way Newport.

The Fort Macon trail run features cross country style surfaces that are both wooded and full sun with moderate elevation, footbridge crossings, and breathtaking views of Beaufort Inlet, Bogue Sound, and the Atlantic Ocean throughout the course.
