- Event: The 16th Annual Shearer’s Food Chip Chase 5K Run/Walk.
- Date: Friday, May 30th, 2025.
- Location: Downtown Brewster, benefiting the Brewster Fireman Association.
- Special Feature: Kids Fun Run (approx. 100 yards).
🕒 Schedule of Events
- 5:30 PM: Packet Pickup/Race Day Registration.
- 7:00 PM: The Chip Off the Old Block Kids Run.
- 7:30 PM: 5K Run/Walk starts.
- Location: Starting line is East of the Brewster Fire Department (110 Main St SE, Brewster, OH 44613).
🎉 Festival Fun!
- Activities: Raffles, runners bags, door prizes, race refreshments.
- Festivities: Brewster Fireman’s Festival featuring carnival rides, fair food, live bands, and fireworks.
- Discount: Family discount of $5 after the first registrant for the 5K event.
- Registration: Discounts applied automatically during checkout with the same account.
🏅 Kids Fun Run Details
- Eligibility: Open to kids 8 & under.
- Incentives: All participants will receive a t-shirt, medal, and finishers goodie bag.
- Registration Deadline: Shirts guaranteed for those registering by 05-23-2025.
- Finish Location: All racers will finish in Bimeler Park.
🏆 Awards and Recognition
- Awards for 5K: Top 3 Overall Male & Female.
- Wheelchair Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female Wheelchair.
- Age Group Awards: Top 3 Male & Female in various age categories.
- Note: No Competitive Walking division this year.
