🏃♂️ Windward Half Marathon & 5K Overview
The Windward Half Marathon & 5K will again be at the Boys & Girls Club, Windward Clubhouse, this year! The beautiful Ko`olau mountains will be the backdrop for the races.
📦 Packet Pick Up
- Date & Time: Saturday, March 22, 1-3pm, Boys and Girls Windward Clubhouse, 145 So. Kainalu Drive, Kailua.
- Race Day: Sunday, Race Day pick-up starting at 5am.
⚠️ Important Registration Notice
- Online Registration: NOTICE: ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT NOON, SATURDAY, MARCH 22.
- Onsite Registration: CASH ONLY at Saturday packet pick-up and Sunday, March 23.
⏰ Start Times
- Half Marathon: 6:00 a.m.
- 5K: 6:05 a.m.
📊 Timing
Your timing chip is on your bib number. Your bib number must be visible from the front. No finish time without it.
📋 Pre-Race Instructions
Pre-race instructions for the Half Marathon and for the 5K will be given inside the Boys & Girls Club at approximately 5:45 a.m. It is your responsibility to ensure that you head to the start line for the correct race.
🏞️ Course Description
Start in front of Kailua Intermediate School. The Half Marathon goes towards Kailua Road. The 5K goes in the opposite direction toward Kainui Dr. There will be police and course marshals all along the course – follow their instructions. There are 5 aid stations on the Half Marathon course and 1 aid station on the 5K course. The course closes at 10:00 a.m. Any participants still on the course must move to the side of the roadway and may finish the race but must obey traffic laws. The finish line will close at approximately 10:30 a.m. or when the last finisher comes in, whichever is first.
🅿️ Parking Information
Limited parking is available at Kailua Middle School and Kailua District Park. Additional parking is located at Kailua Library and along side streets. There is parking behind Longs and you can walk across the open field. There are two metered public parking lots in Kailua: one is off Maluniu at the Kailua Business center, the other is a parking structure off Aulike behind McDonalds.
🚻 Restrooms
Restrooms are located at the Boys & Girls Club. There are also public restrooms on the Half Marathon course at Enchanted Lake Community Park.
