The Ascent is a 5K + Fun Run/Walk/Roll brought to you by The Phoenix Journey.

The Phoenix Journey is a Non-Profit group determined to encourage, educate and support those affected with an autoimmune disease of any kind along with the friends and family.

On Saturday March 29th, we will be raising awareness for and encouraging those going through their ascent, while fighting back against autoimmune disease by running our Ascent Race! This is a family-friendly event that will have music, vendors, giveaways, post-race refreshments and a whole lot of FUN!!

🏅 Race Features

• 5K Details: Competitive, timed race with awards for the top three male and female finishers.
• Fun Run/Walk/Roll: Customizable experience allowing participants to set their own finish line.
• Mile Markers: Markers to guide your journey: you have up to one hour to complete your ascent.
• Inclusive Event: Open to participants of all abilities.

🏆 Award Details

• 5K Categories: Male and Female Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, and age groups.
• Fun Run: Personalized Award Certificate with distance and time.

At 8 AM when the registration booth opens.

If you or someone you know is affected by autoimmune disease, you know some days are better than others, and some are just bad. But each person shows courage day by day making the decision to face the challenges of the ascent for that day. The important thing is to show the courage and determination needed as an affected person, a caregiver, a family member, or friend to make your ascent and be celebrated. We invite you, family, and friends to come join us in making this incredible event cause and day one for the memory books!

• Virtual Events: Participants can run any day, at any time, at a location of their choice.
• Registration Benefits: Includes a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping for your packet.
• Time Uploads: Upload your times and photos on designated pages.
• Swag: Challenge yourself and earn great swag!

🌧️ Weather & Cancellation Policy

• Weather Delays: Start time may be delayed by up to 1 hour due to inclement weather.
• No-Refund Policy: All events proceed regardless of weather conditions: no refunds are issued.
• Event Changes: Cancellations or changes are at the discretion of the Race Director.
• Virtual Option: If unable to participate, switch to Virtual and receive your packet, shirt, and medal.
