Lake Brownwood State Park Nopales Ridge 5K

🏞️ Event Overview

• Join us: Come join the Friends of Lake Brownwood State Park and enjoy this wonderful Texas State Park.
• About Us: We are a group of volunteers who seek to create improvements and support the conservation of Lake Brownwood State Park through service projects and fundraising.
• Current Project: We are currently working to build funds for a playground for the Day-Use Area of the park for children to enjoy.
• Annual Event: The 5k has been created to generate funds for this project, though we hope to make it an annual event.

🏃‍♂️ Race Information

• 5K Course: The 5K run will take place on partial pavement and the Nopales Ridge trail.
• 1-Mile Course: The 1-mile run will be on pavement only.
• Registration Deadline: Race t-shirts are guaranteed to racers registered by February 28, 2025.

💰 Registration Fees

• Before February 28: 5K - $35.00, 1M - $20.00, 12 and under registration is $5 (includes shirt).
• Group Discount: Groups of 5 or more please will receive a $5.00 discount per person.
• After February 28: 5K - $40.00, 1M - $25.00.
• Sleep-in Registration: $20.00 Donation: $25.00 will include a T-Shirt.

🏆 Award Categories

• Age Divisions: Male & Female 12 & Under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
• Medals: Medals awarded for top Male and Female racers in each age group.

🗓️ Race Day Schedule

• Registration: Walk-up registration from 7-7:45 a.m.
• 5K Start Time: 5K Run at 8 a.m.
• 1M Start Time: 1M starts 5 minutes after the last 5K runner starts.

• No Pets: Please refrain from bringing pets to the event!
