Celebrate the Holiday season with your Rowlett Community in our FIRST annual Holiday 5k and Fun Run!
📅 Race Information
- Event Purpose: Get in the holiday spirit and join us for the FIRST annual Holiday 5K & Fun Run: a celebration of fitness, community, and giving back!
- Family-Friendly: This family-friendly event is a great way to bring the community together for a fun, festive morning.
- Support Local: Your participation supports our local Rowlett cross country team and strengthens the bonds that make our community special.
- Dress Code: Dress in your favorite holiday gear and hit the course around our high school campus and nearby park!
🏆 Awards
EVERY 5K PARTICIPANT WILL RECEIVE A FINISHER MEDAL
- Awards: Awards in the 5k to Top 3 M/F Overall and in age groups: 17 & under, 18-30, 31-45, 46-60, 61+
🗓️ Schedule
- 7:15 AM: Check-in/Packet Pickup and registration opens. Packets and Registration will be at the entrance to the RHS football field.
- 8:30 AM: 5k Run (Starts on the track).
- 9:30 AM: Fun Run (Starts on the track).
- 10:00 AM: Awards Ceremony.
👕 Race Shirt
- Registration Deadline: Everyone who registers by December 8th will be guaranteed a shirt of their selected size.
- Availability: Everyone who registers after December 8th will have the opportunity to receive shirts until stock runs out.
- Shirt Details: Shirts are white Sport-Tek Performance Competitor long sleeve dri-fit tees. 5k sponsors will be printed on the back in black ink.
🏞️ Course & Parking
- Course Type: The course is combined concrete and field, with some spots being narrow for traffic. We do not recommend a stroller, but if you are up for the adventure the choice is yours!
- No Pets: Please, no pets on the courses. It will be an out and back course that starts on RHS campus and goes through the Pecan Grove Park trail behind the Rec.
- Parking Location: Parking will be available in the back of Rowlett High School before 8:00am.
- Closing Ceremony: Those who park in the back must stay for the closing ceremony (approximately 10:30am).
