• Date: 2026-01-10
• Location: Palmieri Activities Center, 16376 John Walsh Way, Emmitsburg (On the Mount St. Mary’s Campus)

Race Format

• Prediction Race: Participants may not wear watches. The winner runs closest to their predicted time.
• FSRC Grand Prix: Results will be based on actual finish time.
• Course: The Lewis Run is mostly paved but really hilly, with about a one-mile section of unpaved road.
• Time Limit: 2:30 time limit: a generous 15 min/mile pace, but it's not an event for walkers.

Who Can Participate

• Eligibility: FSRC members can participate. Non-members can join the club for $25.

• Registration Assistance: If you encounter issues registering and believe you are a paid member, check your name and birthday matches on RunSignup.

Registration Information

• Cost: Free for Steeplechaser members.
• Registration Process: Register online before race day or from your phone at the venue: no in-person registration.
• Bib Pickup: Available on race morning starting at 8:00am inside the PAC building.
• Breakfast: Bring a food item to share while waiting for results.

Directions and Weather

• Directions: From Rt. 15 North, turn left on Annandale Rd on Mount St. Mary’s University campus. Park in front of the PAC building.
• Weather: Winter race may have weather issues: announcements for possible cancellations will be made on the Frederick Steeplechasers Facebook Group.
• Notifications: Registered runners will be notified by email in case of cancellations.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Support Needed: Volunteers needed for parking, course marshaling, timing, etc.
• Participation: If you'd like to avoid the hills but still participate, consider volunteering!
