• School Participation: Profits will be divided among the 3 programs based on their School's Participation.
• Choose Your Affiliation: You need to pick one of the following with your School Affiliation Name.

  • Option 1: Student/Staff
  • Option 2: Adult

✝️ Our Concept

What does “going the extra mile” mean? Jesus said, "And whoever shall force you to go one mile, go with him two” (Matt. 5:41). Roman soldiers could force citizens of Israel or any foreigner to carry their backpacks for a mile. Everyone can do the required but strive to go the extra mile for Christ! In this case, run it!

🏅 About the Event

Wilson's Annual The Extra Mile 5K is a non-profit 5K, hosted by Grace Baptist Church, partnered with Run the East, to benefit Fike, Hunt and Beddingfield High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This money helps their FCA programs with events throughout the year and the cost of FCA Leadership camp. All ages and abilities are invited to participate!

💰 Extra Mile Option

After completion of the 5K, runners are encouraged to hop on the Rotary Park Track and complete the EXTRA MILE (2 laps around the track). Grace Baptist Church will sponsor $20 per runner who completes the EXTRA MILE!

📋 Other Important Details

• Personal Belongings: Leave all personal belongings in your vehicle.
• Hydration: Hydration will be provided at start/finish and throughout the race.
• Trash: Please place all trash in appropriate containers.

🏆 Award Categories

1st, 2nd, 3rd Male/Female Placers receive a Special Placer Medal, along with their participation medal. Participation Medal Given to All Finishers.

🎁 Giveaway

T-shirts will be picked up at packet pick up/race day with chipped bibs. Sizes: Adult Small – XXXL. Register by 03-01-25 to guarantee a T-shirt and correct sizing. Some extras will be ordered and handed out first come, first serve, but ensure we have a shirt for you by registering by 03-01-25.

Race Start: 8:00 AM (Recommended arrival time is 7:30 AM)

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet pick-up is a time for you to come and get your official race day gear, including your Race Bib (Chip Timing) and your official Extra Mile race day T-shirt.

There are 2 options for picking up your official race day gear:

• Packet pickup: Friday, March 21st, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, 202 N Kincaid Avenue, Wilson, NC 27893.
• Race Day: Saturday, March 22nd, 7:00 - 7:45 AM at Greater Wilson Rotary Park, 1901 Branch Street NW, Wilson, NC 27893.

📝 Last Minute Registration

Last minute/day-of Registration IS ACCEPTED. Arrive no later than 7:15 AM to the registration booth.

• Adults: $35 ( $5 increase pp)
• Ages 12 & under: $20 ($5 increase pp)
• Students/Staff: $25 ($5 increase pp)
