🎉 Race Overview

The 29th Annual 2024 Holiday Bowl 5K will start on the corner of Harbor Drive and Ash St. and run along the Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade Route and finish near Tuna Harbor Park. The event is set to start at 9:45 am. Athletes will run past 100,000 spectators. Runners, families and spectators can watch the remainder of the Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade that features colorful floats, marching bands and huge inflatable characters. Awards are three deep in all divisions.

Finisher medals and a replica football jersey for ALL participants! Shirts are available for pick up at the finish line festival area.

📅 Event Details and Schedule

Kick-off: Kicks off Nationally Televised Port of Holiday Bowl Parade.
Course: Flat, fast scenic course along the waterfront.
Spectators: Run past 100,000 spectators!
Finisher Medals: Medals for all participants.
T-Shirt: Colorful short sleeve tech t-shirt (cotton youth sizes available as well).
Awards: Top 3 male and female 5k finishers in each age division.
Post Race Party: Great post race party. Enjoy your refreshments while watching the parade go by.

🎊 Fun at the Finish

Party after the race! Join us for the post-race party near Tuna Harbor Park. There will be live music, and lots of extra munchies including muffins, bagels, juice, fresh fruit and much more! You can also watch the remainder of the parade that features colorful floats, bands and huge inflatable characters.

12 & Under: Age group for younger participants.
13-17: Adolescent runners.
18-24: Young adult division.
25-29: Age group for late 20s participants.
30-34: Runners in their early 30s.
35-39: Middle-aged division.
40-44: Runners in their 40s.
45-49: Participants in their late 40s.
50-54: Runners in their early 50s.
55-59: Participants in their late 50s.
60-64: Runners aged 60 and above.
65-69: Senior division.
70-74: Veteran runners.
75-79: Older veteran division.
80+: Runners aged 80 and up.
Military: Current & former military participants.
Clydesdale/Athena: Males 220lbs+, females 165lbs+.
40+ Clydesdale/Athena: Males 220lbs+, females 165lbs+ in the 40+ category.

🕒 Race Day Registration

Race day registration and bib pick up starts at 8:00 am in front of the Wyndham Hotel corner of Harbor Dr. & Ash St. 1355 N. Harbor Dr. San Diego, CA 92101. Race day registration and bib pick up closes at 9:30 a.m.

📦 Packet Pick Up

Race day only at 8:00 am in front of the Wyndham Hotel on Harbor Blvd. on the corner of Harbor Dr and Ash St. 1355 N. Harbor Dr. San Diego, CA 92101. T-shirts will be given out at the finish line.
