❄️ Frostbite Series Overview
This classic winter race series returns to Forest Park, offering runners, walkers and spectators a full season of frosty fun across 10 race distances throughout the season:
- December 14: 3K / 12K
- December 28: 2M / 10M
- January 11: 5K / 20K
- January 25: 4M / 13.1M
- February 8: 3M / 15K
👟 Registration Information
Participants can register for the short series, the long series, a single, or a set of single races. Whatever distance(s) you choose, be sure to register soon! Race day registrations are limited.
- Collectable items: Long and short series participants receive a collectable Frostbite Series shirt and finisher's medal.
- Shirt purchase: Participants in single races can purchase a shirt during registration.
- Shirt availability: Shirts will be available at the race on December 28.
- School competition: Middle school or high school runners can have their performance compared to peers during registration.
🏁 Race Day Details
All Frostbite Series races start at the Forest Park Visitors Center. Short series races start at 8:15 am, and long series start at 8:20 am.
- Gathering spots: Participants are encouraged to gather outside near the start line or in their vehicles before the race.
- Restrooms: Portable restrooms will be available.
- Aid stations: Setup along the course with water and sports drink in cups.
- Hydration gear: Hydration bottles, belts and vests are encouraged and allowed on the courses.
📅 Packet Pick Up & Bibs
Packet pick-up will be at the following times:
- Date: Friday, December 13 | 12 – 6 pm
- Location: Forest Park Visitor Center
- Race morning: Packets can also be picked up starting at 7 am.
- Bib usage: Bibs should be kept and used for the duration of the series.
🏆 Awards Information
For both the long series and the short series, the top five runners in each age group by gender will receive an award.
- Points system: A runner’s best four races will be awarded points based on their age group placement.
- Award breakdown: 1st: 50 points, 2nd: 45 points, 3rd: 40 points, 4th: 35 points, 5th: 30 points, Finisher: 25 points.
- Eligibility: Participants must complete four races to be eligible for awards.
- Ages: Age determination is based on December 12, categorized by specific age groups.

☔ Weather Policy and Cancellation
Races will be held rain, snow, or shine and will not be cancelled except in severe weather or unsafe conditions.
💰 Refund Policy
No refunds or credits will be given in case of cancellation due to weather, as all net proceeds support the St. Louis Track Club’s mission.
👟 Charity Shoe Drive
Throughout the Frostbite Series, we will be collecting athletic shoes, any condition, to benefit our scholarship fund.
- Collections: Clean out your closets and bring old shoes to the registration table in a bag.
- Benefit: All collected shoes support the scholarship fund.
