📚 Race Overview
- Goal: To develop reading-proficient, community-minded and physically fit children in grades K-8 by challenging them to READ 26 books, RIGHT the community with 26 good deeds, and RUN 26.2 miles over a 26 week period.
- Duration: The program lasts for 26 weeks, culminating in a race day event for students in Forest Park.
- Management: The program is coordinatively managed entirely leading up to race day.
- Registration: Students must register through their respective RRRM program.
🏃♂️ Race Day Details
- Participation: All students in the program participate on race day to complete their race goals.
- Distance for Grades K-8: Students will run 1.2 miles to complete the program, specifically with other RRRM students.
- Start Time: A specific start time will be outlined closer to race day, with updates provided by coordinators.
- 5K Option: Students in grades 6-8 can complete their program by running the 5K distance alongside other Read, Right & Run 5K runners.
